Multicultural Student Affairs invites submissions for NC State’s 13th annual Black History Month Celebration.
This year’s theme is “Our Wings Still Fly: The Beauty and the Burden of Blackness.” From triumphs and hardships, collective resiliency and community interconnectedness, “Our Wings Still Fly” symbolizes the social injustices faced by people of the diaspora. Yet, through an understanding of the burdens of Blackness, we are able to celebrate and embrace the multiple dimensions of prosperity.
Programming featured during the month can embody the theme via art, speakers, discussion, film screenings and educational events.
- To submit an event, include the title, description, date/time, location of your program as well as other relevant information by January 23, 2019 via the submission form.
