The NC State University African American Cultural Center (AACC) is celebrating 25 years of serving the campus and community. Honoring the mission of the center, the anniversary theme is Examining Wellness in African American Spaces: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. This semester, the AACC is partnering with several departments to discuss segments of the theme.

With partnership in mind, the AACC, the Women’s Center and Multicultural Student Affairs invite you to participate in our community book club discussion on Mondays from August 22 through October 3, 2016. We are reading Too Heavy A Yoke: Black Women and the Burden of Strength by Dr. Chanequa Walker-Barnes. Each Monday at noon, we will gather for a facilitated discussion (one chapter per week).
