Between the Lines: Four Hundred Souls

February 9, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Four Hundred Souls is a unique one-volume “community” history of African Americans. The book’s co-editors, anti-racism scholar Ibram X. Kendi and Keisha N. Blain, an award-winning historian, assembled 90 writers to consider the 400-year journey of African Americans from 1619 to the present. Blair L.M. Kelley, assistant dean for interdisciplinary studies and international programs at NC State, will join the book’s co-editors and other guests to discuss what it takes to develop a community history, by a community.
