Brittney Cooper, a scholar, speaker and one-of-a-kind public intellectual, is a foremost expert on black feminist history and contemporary intersectional feminist thought. She is the author of two groundbreaking new books: Beyond Respectability: The Intellectual Thought of Race Women and Eloquent Rage: A Black Feminist Discovers Her Superpower. Cooper, an associate professor of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, has appeared at universities around the country and on countless television and radio programs.
