October 28, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Set in an African American community in rural North Carolina from 1941 to 1987, In West Mills is a small-town story about family, friendship, storytelling and the redemptive power of love. In West Mills is the North Carolina Humanities Council’s 2020 Route 1 Reads booklist selection. Our discussion will be led by Tiffany Dangleben, a doctoral student in the School Psychology. Dangleben also is the project coordinator for Fostering Advocacy, Communication, Empowerment and Supports for African American Families of Children with Autism, which is known as FACES, at NC State.
