State of Sound Stories: Girls Rock NC Panel

Join us as we hear the story of Girls Rock NC from Executive Director Mary Alta and several of the people who make this wonderful organization possible. The central North Carolina organization works to empower girls, women and folks of marginalized genders — through creative expression — to be confident and engaged members of their communities. Girls Rock accomplishes this by focusing on creativity, confidence and collaboration. In Girls Rock’s 16 years of programming, the organization has held more than 100 music programs for girls, transgender youth and nonbinary youth in Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh.
