From Theory to Praxis: Intersectional Feminist Theory
This academic year has seen the creation of a program that seeks to take academic conversations out of the classroom and ground the work of the campus community in a theoretical framework. “From Theory to Praxis” is designed to turn discourse into observable action, cultivate community and provide an opportunity to engage with challenging academic thought and literature.

The GLBT Center will host “The Evolution of Legal Protections for the GLBT Community" on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Facilitated by Sarah Gillooly, policy director of the American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina, this program will explore the successes and losses in legal protections for the GLBT community

Creating Institutional Barriers to Access: The NC Voter ID Law
The GLBT Center will host UNC Boyd Tinsely Distinguished Professor of Law Gene Nichol on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in Park Shops 210 as a part of its 2016 GLBT History Month programming. This lecture is open to students, staff, faculty and community members.
