Week of Action: Recognizing Inequity, Practicing Solutions
The GLBT Center will host its second annual Week of Action from Monday, March 27 to Friday, March 31, 2017 with the theme “Recognizing Inequity, Practicing Solutions.” The goals of this week are to help students, faculty and staff understand different ways in which inequity is present within our society and to provide them with strategies and ideas to combat those inequities.
ASB San Francisco: Intersectionality and Social Justice
The GLBT Center and the Center for Student Leadership, Ethics, and Public Service (CSLEPS) have established an Alternative Service Break (ASB) trip to San Francisco that gives students the opportunity to think critically about how identity and social justice are related.

GLBT Youth in the Juvenile Justice System
The GLBT Center will host a guest lecture on the experiences of GLBT youth within the juvenile justice system. This lecture will examine how race, ethnicity, socioeconomic class, sexual orientation and gender identity act as factors that increase the likelihood that youth will be funneled into the criminal justice system.
