Gender and Equity Research Symposium Invites Proposals
The Gender and Equity Research Symposium highlights research that promotes a more equitable and justice-oriented society. An initiative of the Women’s Center, the symposium bridges the interdisciplinary nature of gender and equity work through research and provides an opportunity to for students to connect with faculty and staff who are engaged in these areas.
GLBT Symposium Welcomes New Students
The GLBT Center's fourth annual GLBT Symposium hosted over 170 participants on Saturday, August 12, 2017. This half-day event is held during move-in weekend as a way for incoming GLBT students to connect with one another, build community, learn about services and resources offered by the GLBT Center and find ways to get involved on campus.

Filmmaker Byron Hurt Examines Impact of Soul Food
On Wednesday, June 20, 2017, over 175 local college students, Triangle residents and food justice activists came together for a screening of the critically-acclaimed documentary Soul Food Junkies. Sponsored by NC State's African American Cultural Center in partnership with the Jamie Kirk Hahn Foundation, attendees were 'edutained' on the role soul food has played in African American culture and learned about the impact of America’s class-based apartheid in its food system.

NC State Garners Fourth Minority Grads Ranking
Diverse: Issues in Higher Education has published its annual rankings of "Top Producers of Asian American Graduates." The list includes the top 100 producers of associate, bachelor's and graduate degrees awarded to Asian American graduates in business administration, management and operations; education; and the social sciences.
