Dear Wolfpack Community,
Usually, messages from our Campus Community Centers focus on the wide array of programs and services that we provide to the NC State community. Today, on Giving Tuesday, we hope you will take a few minutes to consider what these programs mean to you and many other students, faculty and staff members.
We are excited to be part of a Giving Tuesday campaign lasting through the week to uplift diversity, equity and inclusion at NC State. Our directors send the following messages about what this day can mean for their centers and the work they do to support the Wolfpack.

Make a giftGLBT Center
The mission of the NC State GLBT Center is to engage, develop and empower members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities and their allies. We do this work through identity-affirming programming and support, active partnership and coalition building, and promoting awareness and education with respect to the issues faced by members of the GLBT community and their allies. By supporting our work through donations on #Giving Tuesday, you are helping to create an affirming and welcoming campus community.
— Lisa LaBarbera-Mascote, interim director of the GLBT Center and interim senior director of campus community centers
Make a giftMulticultural Student Affairs
This academic year, Multicultural Student Affairs has hosted many programs that support the needs and retention of underrepresented and underserved students on campus. An exceptional example of this is our Symposium for Multicultural Scholars, which connects students to campus resources, extends a sense of community, and provides mentorship opportunities at the very beginning of students’ college trajectory. We invite you to support the continuation of programs like these by giving to the Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) Enhancement Fund. In addition to Symposium, your gift supports students through leadership development and conference opportunities.
— Melissa Faircloth, director of Multicultural Student Affairs

This year, the Women’s Center turns 30! Throughout this anniversary year, we are celebrating:
- 30 years of providing a sense of community for our students;
- 30 years of advocating for gender and equity;
- 30 years of fostering the growth and development of feminist leaders;
- 30 years of supporting student survivors of interpersonal violence;
- 30 years of educating our campus about healthy relationships and consent.
In honor of the 30th Anniversary of the Women’s Center, we invite you to celebrate with us by donating $30 to the Friends of the Women’s Center so that we can achieve even more amazing milestones over the next 30 years of the NC State Women’s Center.
