Sexual Assault Awareness Month continues with a speaker event this Thursday evening. Sofie Karasek is an anti-sexual violence activistand a co-founder of End Rape on Campus.
Chancellor Woodson Attends Pow Wow
On April 2, 2016, Native American Student Affairs (NASA) and American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) in conjunction with Multicultural Student Affairs hosted NC State's 26th Annual Pow Wow in Carmichael Gymnasium. The gym was filled with people of different tribes and nations who sang, danced, drummed and reflected on the history of the Indigenous people of North Carolina and acknowledged their present status. The event started at 12:00 p.m. and lasted until 7:00 p.m.

Joy Tongsri has been a longtime member of the NC State chapter of the National Coalition Building Institute. She has also been active in several other NC State programs in addition to being a staff member in the Park Scholarships office.
What is the Clothesline Project?
The Women's Center is bringing the Clothesline Project to campus to provide a space for survivors of interpersonal violence to share their experiences through artwork. Survivors are asked to stop by the Women’s Center to create a t-shirt to add to our clothesline being displayed throughout Talley Student Union.
Annual Lavender Graduation Has Become an NC State Tradition
The GLBT Center’s annual Lavender Graduation will honor the accomplishments of NC State's graduating GLBT students and allies. Last year, an overwhelming turnout of friends, family, colleagues and community members came to support our graduating students. This year we hope to have an even larger turnout.

ASB SF 2016: Intersectionality and Social Justice in the GLBT Community
An Alternative Service Break trip to San Francisco gives students the opportunity to think critically about how identity and social justice are related. This new iteration of the San Francisco trip, which formerly looked at the LGBTQ homeless youth population, broadens the focus to include intersectional social justice issues faced by diverse Bay Area communities.
