The Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity and the University Diversity Advisory Committee invite you to submit nominations for the 13th annual Chancellor’s Creating Community Awards.
What are the Chancellor’s Creating Community Awards?
The Chancellor’s Creating Community Awards is an annual celebration to spotlight those around campus who work to support equity and equal opportunity, provide educational opportunities to increase awareness of topics centered on diversity, and strengthen relationships across diverse groups on campus and who take additional steps to uphold these values in their respective units and communities. We want to highlight the importance of their contributions and the positive impacts they have on our campus that bring faculty, students and staff closer together.
How Can I Submit a Nomination?
You can submit a nomination by using the online nomination form. Individuals, colleges/divisions and student organizations may self-nominate.
The 2019 award categories are:
- Outstanding Faculty Award
- Outstanding Staff Award
- Outstanding Graduate Student Award
- Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award
- Outstanding College/Division Award
- Outstanding Student Organization Award
One award will be given in each area. The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 29, 2019.
Award recipients will be announced at a celebration on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the Coastal Ballroom, Talley Student Union.
