Appreciative Inquiry
For the summit, we used the Appreciative Inquiry model. Appreciative Inquiry is an approach that draws from positive psychology and storytelling to create an “alignment of strengths” that renders weaknesses irrelevant (Druker inTEDx Talks, 2014), empowering individuals and facilitating the resolution of given problems to enact desired change.
The model required advance work by the Guiding Coalition to form the “provocative inquiry” in this framework before the Summit Teams worked through them at the Summit event.
