The U.S. Postal Service has selected NC State's African American Cultural Center as the national dedication site for the 2018 Kwanzaa postage stamp. On Wednesday, October 10, 2018, faculty, staff, students and community members are invited to attend a ceremony on Harris Field, adjacent to Witherspoon Student Center.

John Miller Joins African American Cultural Center
A student-centered scholar-practitioner, John Miller IV holds a master's in higher education and bachelor's in psychology with a concentration in arts entrepreneurship, both from NC State. He most recently served as residence coordinator at Duke University.
Join the African American Cultural Center at Kwanzaa
Kwanzaa is a week-long holiday celebrated by many people of the African diaspora. The holiday celebrates African-American culture and is one of the first pan-African holidays. Its history is rooted in Black Liberation struggles of the 20th century – a time when many Black Americans were fighting for political, economic, social and cultural freedom.

25th Annual Kwanzaa Celebration to be held on December 2 in Witherspoon
Multicultural Student Affairs, in partnership with the Union Activities Board, Black Students Board and the African American Cultural Center, will hold NC State’s 25th annual celebration of Kwanzaa on Wednesday, December 2, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Witherspoon Student Cinema.
