Native American Banquet and Pow Wow Highlights
NC State’s Native American community held its end-of-year Banquet and Powwow on March 31 and April 1, 2017 respectively. Both events were hosted by the Native American Student Association (NASA) and the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) in conjunction with Multicultural Student Affairs.
NC State Co-Hosts Asian American Conference
The East Coast Asian American Student Union (ECAASU) conference took place this weekend at NC State's McKimmon Center. The conference celebrated its 40th anniversary this year and was hosted jointly by Duke University, NC State, and UNC Chapel Hill.

Freshman Honors Convocation Highlights Academic Excellence
Each Spring, Multicultural Student Affairs hosts Freshman Honors Convocation, a ceremony that recognizes the collective and individual achievements of our multicultural students. Any African American, Native American, or Latino first-year student receiving a GPA of a 3.0 or higher is honored.
New Assistant Director Brittany Hunt
Brittany Danielle Hunt is the new assistant director of Native American Student Affairs in Multicultural Student Affairs. Her role is twofold: to create programming that will serve to support the academic, professional and social needs of Native American students and to educate the campus community about indigenous peoples and issues.
