Dare Coulter, Featured Artist in AACC Gallery Opening on March 15
Illustrator and sculptor Dare Coulter, a 2015 NC State Art + Design graduate, will be the next featured artist in the African American Cultural Center's Art Gallery beginning with a Gallery Opening event on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Witherspoon Student Center.
New AACC Assistant Director Dawn Morgan
As the assistant director in the African American Cultural Center, Dawn focuses on a balance of programmatic and administrative responsibilities. She coordinates artists and their work for the African American Cultural Center’s Gallery and advises the AYA Ambassadors.
Dr. Jamila Simpson, Assistant Dean, Sciences
Dr. Jamila Simpson is much more than a friendly face for students, although she certainly is that too. The Digest recently found out how this busy NC State diversity practitioner makes a major contribution in her post as assistant dean in the College of Sciences.
Destiny McNeill, Scholar and Actor
Destiny McNeill is a senior majoring in Communication with a concentration in Interpersonal Communication, most recently from Fayetteville, NC. McNeill made local history becoming the first black Cinderella in the Raleigh Little Theatre's recent production.
Joelle Jacobs, Social Work
Joelle Jacobs will be graduating in May with her Bachelor's degree in social work. Her path to this point has been anything but ordinary. Currently an intern in the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity, Joelle also helped start the BackTrackers student organization on campus.
Erin Morant Joins OIED’s Outreach and Education Unit
The Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity's Outreach and Education unit welcomes Erin Morant as its new program coordinator. Erin will coordinate OIED's diversity and equity training offerings, including open enrollment workshops, the Equal Opportunity Institute and National Coalition Building Institute workshops.

National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) Facilitator Roger Callanan
The Digest recently interviewed longtime National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) trainer and well-known NC State administrator and diversity practitioner Roger Callanan. Dr. Callanan, known for his positive and thoughtful demeanor, has been a quiet force and constant presence on the NC State NCBI Team over the years. He has also held many posts at NC State, all tied together with a common underlying theme of teaching, bridging differences and service to others.
