Deans from all of NC State’s colleges and divisions, along with partners in the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity, the Office of Research and Innovation and Research Leadership Academy, have opened a call for proposals for an inaugural university-wide Equity Research Symposium, to be held on Feb. 8, 2022.
The symposium, which will be an all-day event in Talley Student Union with an online component, invites proposals from faculty, research associates, postdoctoral students, graduate students, undergraduate students, and staff.
Vice Provost for Institutional Equity and Diversity Sheri Schwab says, “This symposium will focus on research with an equity focus, as well as provide an opportunity to discuss equity in research. This will be an important opportunity for our campus community to engage in this very important topic, and I am pleased to see us engaging each other in this way. I hope everyone will plan to attend the symposium and keep this dialogue moving forward even after the event.”
