Tonya Hines has served as the administrative assistant in the African American Cultural Center since September 26, 2018.
In her role, Tonya works with vendors to process contracts, invoices and payments, monitors and tracks programming expenses and supports the AACC leadership team in the coordination of a variety of faculty engagement and interdisciplinary research initiatives as well as student-focused programs and activities. Additionally, she compiles materials for program activities, assists with coordinating events and scheduling meetings and handles arrangements for program speakers and campus partners.
Tonya holds a master’s in general administration with a concentration in human resources from Central Michigan University and a bachelor’s in business management from Saint Augustine’s University. Most recently, she served as director of purchasing and events staff coordinator at Saint Augustine’s University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in leadership in higher education from Capella University.
