Students who are both undocumented and queer face barriers and obstacles that are often rendered invisible in conversations about supporting GLBT students. This workshop examines the ways in which sexuality, gender identity and gender expression are complicated by nationality and documentation status. Throughout the workshop, participants unpack some of the systemic and institutional barriers while also learning ways that they can better support students who identify as GLBT and are undocumented in the United States. This two-hour workshop is open to NC State undergraduates, graduate students, staff, faculty and alumni as well as interested members of the local community.
