Join the Women’s Center in Talley Student Union, Suite 5210 on August 24, 2018 from 2:00-4:30 p.m. for a listening party and panel for J. Cole’s 2018 album, KOD. Come ready to listen to and discuss the themes featured in KOD including Black masculinity within American society and higher education, drug use in the Black community, and connections to Michelle Alexander’s The New Jim Crow and this year’s common reading, $2.00 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America. This program is a part of the College of Education’s Passport Program and the University Scholars program calendar. The event is open to the campus community. Partners include the Black Male Initiative and AYA Ambassadors.
