Reva Dunn is the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity’s new executive assistant, working in OIED administration under Vice Provost Linda McCabe Smith. Originally from San Diego, California, she has lived in North Carolina for twenty years and now considers it home. She earned her bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University and previously worked at Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
When asked her impressions of OIED thus far, Dunn stated, “OIED is a very welcoming and wonderful place to work. I have enjoyed my time here so far and am fortunate to work with a great group of people.” Coming from a diverse family herself, she added, “I feel that OIED does important work that I value greatly. To educate people about diversity is so important, and to make a difference in so many ways.”
When asked about her favorite OIED program or event, she replied, “The Chocolate Festival, hosted by the Women’s Center, has been my favorite event so far. The Festival is a fun way to support and bring awareness to breast cancer while enjoying a variety of sweet treats. I look forward to attending more events hosted by OIED in the future.”
